Every generation has its pros and cons. Did you know that Western sociologists and generation researchers have grouped people into categories? They have called them “Generations”. So what generation do you belong to? And do you consider your generation to be a luckier or a less fortunate one?
According to the recent history of people, sociologists grouped them into generations; nonetheless, there have always been generations, starting from Adam’s and Eve’s first children: Habil and Qabil.
The sociologists and researchers gave each generation a name, distinguishing it from the other generations. By the way, a generation means an age group; in other words, it is a group of people born in the same time period.
Here is a bulleted list containing the generations’ names:
- The Greatest Generation (GI Generation): Born 1901–1924
- The Silent Generation: Born 1928–1945
- Baby Boom Generation: Born 1946–1964

- Millennial Generation or Generation Y or Me Generation: Born 1981–1996
- Generation Z or iGen: Born 1997–2010

Every one of these generations has its particular characteristics and associated challenges. Which is the luckiest generation, and which is the least fortunate one?
Well, some say the Baby Boomer generation is the luckiest one due to the lavish lifestyle and abundant resources experienced or attained by them. However, it is inaccurate to say that one generation is the luckiest one or the other one is the most unfortunate. It all depends. It is a relative matter.

We all know that life is never devoid of challenges, meaning everyone’s period is associated with ups and downs. To put it differently, every age group has good times and bad times. Period.
