Celebrating Eidul-Adha

Today we’re celebrating Eidul-Adha. We Muslims have two annual Eids (festivals), one of which is today’s festival, the other one being Eidul-Fitr which marks the end of Ramadan. Today is Eidul-Adha, which marks the end of this year’s pilgrimage. It’s a day that honours Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah (God) and his unwavering willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail.

EID MUBARAK!

Today we attended a big congregation, where congregants were standing shoulder to shoulder in a crowded mosque, glorifying Allah and asking him for forgiveness and protection.

Unlike the previous years, there aren’t any COVID-19 restrictions. So everywhere is open, and people can move around and mix and mingle with one another. It’s a blessed day and we’re sincerely asking Allah to protect and prosper us.
